Light House Pantry Collection 2024, in October

Thank you everyone for a successful first 3 weeks of the Light House pantry collection.  We distributed all 150 grocery bags donated by Grauls and took 60 full bags from church to the shelter. In addition, a number of parishioners reported that they delivered their donations directly to the shelter. You don't need a decorated pantry bag to donate. Bring your donations to church on Sunday, October 27 or November 3 or take them to the shelter on Hudson Street.

Items most needed: hearty or chunky soups, ready to eat entrees (ie stew, hash, chili), long grain white rice (1 or 2 pound bags), dried black beans, 48 oz and smaller cooking oil (vegetable, olive, etc), fruit (cans or cups), flavored oatmeal (packets or cups), canned tomato products, pasta sauce-tomato varieties (if possible, no glass jars), deluxe mac and cheese (kind with squeeze packet of cheese), shelf stable boxed milk, complete pancake mix (just add water) and, of course, jelly.

The food is not for the residents of the shelter but for our neighbors right here in Annapolis who have homes but lack resources to purchase food.  Anyone can go to the Light House, fill out a needs list and receive the help they need. If you prefer to make a donation, send a check to St. Anne's and mark on it "Light House pantry donation". We do not have, at this time, an app for donations. Any questions, contact Nancy Greeley at momgreeley@aol.com.
