Confirmation
Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. –The Book of Common Prayer, page 860
Youth Confirmation
St. Anne’s offers instruction for confirmation for young people when they believe they are ready to express a mature commitment to Christ and publicly reaffirm their baptismal vows. Often, the young people who participate in confirmation class are at least twelve years old. Please contact Tempest Strunge (tbrevard@stannes-annapolis.org or 443-808-1361) for more information about then the next preparation for confirmation for young people will be held.
Adult Confirmation
St. Anne’s offers instruction for confirmation for adults who would like to express a mature commitment to Christ and publicly reaffirm their baptismal vows. We often call this class “Adult Inquirers’ Class” and it is open to people seeking confirmation, reception into the Episcopal Church from another denomination, or more information about the Episcopal Church. Please contact the Rev. M. Dion Thompson for more information.
