Blessing of the Animals on October 5

St. Anne’s is welcome to join St. Lukes for the Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Lukes Eastport. Bring your pet, a photo of your pet, or your favorite “stuffie” for a special blessing outdoors in the amphitheater. Face painting and crafts will be available for the kids as well as music, a labyrinth walk, and an art show. It’s fun for the whole family.

Schedule of Activities

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Chesapeake Collage Guild art show and kid crafts open

11 a.m.- 2 p.m.: Face painter available under the outdoor awning.

11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Annapolis Blend Singers perform in the chapel

12:00 p.m. - Blessing of the Animals service in amphitheater (with informal blessings happening all day)

12:30 p.m. - Speaker from Anne Arundel Beekeeping Association in the chapel

1:15 p.m. - Labyrinth walk with pets

2:00 p.m. - Pianist Stephaun Turner performs in chapel

Please bring clean, used towels and blankets or unopened packages of pet food to donate to the SPCA who will be on-site with 2 dogs for adoption.
