St. John Passion

On April 18 at 7:00 p.m., we will offer a Good Friday Vespers service built around J.S. Bach’s Passion according to St. John, BWV 245. This is a joint project of the St. Anne’s Choir, the Annapolis Chorale and the Bach+ ensemble. This year marks 301 years since it was first performed at Good Friday Services in Leipzig. Last year, many people from both St. Anne’s and the wider Annapolis community found the presentation of this work within the context of the liturgy to be particularly powerful.  You’ll want to make sure this is part of your Holy Week attendance.
