Stewards at St. Anne’s

St. Anne’s Cemetery Memorial Garden near the planned Garden of Remembrance

Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. -
— 1 Peter 4:10

This week, St. Anne’s staff gathered for an onboarding session at the Parish House. Within the last few months, St. Anne’s has added Mark Strandquist as the Facilities and Properties Manager, and just this week, Nancy Pollack started as the Parish Administrator and Hugh Reese joined as the Director of Advancement. There is a lot of exciting new energy in the air as God has drawn people with the skills and talents that St. Anne's needs to further our mission in Annapolis and beyond.

St. Anne’s is blessed with the responsibility for being stewards of the gift of this historic church, a Parish House and pre-school, and the St. Anne’s/Cedar Bluff Cemeteries. We are also blessed with lay leaders who have a passion for sharing their talents in the service of our mission.

Ginger DeLuca and Linda Adamson are two such stewards, serving as co-chairs of the St. Anne’s Cemetery Committee and passionate historians and stewards of St. Anne’s/Cedar Bluff Cemetery. In partnership with Nature Sacred, a Garden of Remembrance is planned to be installed this fall for those buried in the cemetery with no markers and those whose names are unknown. Through this Garden of Remembrance, St. Anne’s is walking the walk of our baptismal covenant to love one another and working to reconcile our past.

Join the St. Anne’s Cemetery Committee June 9th after the 10 am worship service for hospitality and to learn more about the planned Garden of Remembrance. You can also learn more about the important work the St. Anne’s Cemetery Committee does to care for this historic property.
